Continuing to extend the railway. Much overdue especially since I no longer have a reason to revisit the beach shack. I guess I'm just going this for posterity and maybe I'll explore towards this direction and even visit the temporary cliff side house for old times' sake. Now that I remember, I should head back some time to take some pictures of it for this blog.
Also it must be said that I really should not be playing right now. I have an exam tomorrow that I haven't studied for, for a class that I haven't turned up to in weeks, but since it's at 12pm, I'll just head to the CS building at 8am and grind it out for 4 hours or so. I don't need an A. I just need to pass. C's get degrees. Although I did almost get kicked out of school a couple weeks ago but that's for another time.

In the meantime, does anyone know why water sometimes does this? It's a little hard to tell from the picture, the water flows in crazy weird directions instead of settling back to still waters when you place and remove blocks on the surface. It drives me crazy but I don't really know how to fix it, so it'll have to be for now.

I still can't get over how nice Minecraft looks like at night in this version.

Look at the pixellated stars, at how everything is bathed in darkness but you can still make out the contours and outlines of the landscape. I don't think modern Minecraft gets this dark or can even get close to replicating this foreboding yet peaceful night atmosphere, even with all the zombies, skeletons and creepers roaming around.

So nice.

The sunrise. Also, I made some paintings. They were some of my favorite parts of Minecraft.

Man these are some classic paintings...

Started to carve out a little basement area behind the floating platform beneath the house.

I'm not exactly sure what I'll put here except for one thing: a nether portal. I've also carved out the perfect place for it. I just need to mine some obsidian now.

How did it get here?

A bountiful harvest.
